What We Do

We provide specialist systemic family therapy, individual therapy, couple therapy and therapy for young people who noticed that their behaviour or emotions are unpredictable, things are not making sense or that no one understands them or it could be that the young person is not sleeping well/properly, loss their appetite or feeling anxious.

For many years we have worked with helping young people who have similar feelings or who are in a similar situation to overcome their worries, troubles and fears.

Bad feelings and difficult situations can affect anyone, both adults and young people. They can make you feel sad and worried, angry, upset and stressed. Life can then become tough for a while, however learning how to cope are skills that we all need to develop or be able to access, which will help us to feel better and make a positive difference to us and those close to us.

We have a number of years' experience of working with a variety of concerns. Some of our experiences are in adult mental health, child and adolescent mental health issues for example ADHD, ASD, behaviour difficulties, struggles with being at school, difficulties with forming and sustaining friendships, body image, eating disorders, psychoses and depression. In an adult context we have experience of working with all adult mental health concerns for example post natal depression, puerperal psychoses and other post natal mental health concerns.

The style of therapy and the approach is call systemic. This approach involves exploring connections, networks of relationships and communication patterns between a person, couple or family, the people significant to them at any given time and the ideas and beliefs each of them holds which gives meaning to their lives and behaviours.

We work with family groups and partnerships that may be constructed in any number of ways to include the people that are important to you.

Also, we offer Management and Clinical Supervision to individuals and to groups, as well as Mentorship and Coaching. We offer consultations to schools teachers, teaching assistants, school SENCO and other school staff where we work closely with them to gain a better understanding of how to work with children with difficulties in the schools.
